My CEREC Backup that Saved the Day!

What do you do when the Primescan camera shuts down during a clinical procedure? What are your backup options? The Patterson Technology Center came to my rescue. Within a short time, their team remotely accessed my Primescan and was able to perform several diagnostics. They discovered that the firmware for the graphics card was not compatible with the current version of CEREC software. I had noticed the scanning slowing down over the past few weeks, and then mid-procedure, the camera shut off, and the CEREC software crashed.

This situation highlights the digital era we live in, with complex platforms that rely on multiple compatible firmware versions. As graphics, cloud-based inputs, and system integrations become more advanced, maintaining system compatibility will be even more crucial. So, how can we stay ahead of these challenges and ensure our systems work reliably when we need them most in the office?
