The One Thing That Keeps Me Creating New Dental Videos
This is an update video after spending the day up in my digital studio. It's the golden hour here at the Homestead, and honestly, this is often when I feel the most inspired.
In this video, I share several updates, particularly regarding my evolving BioCopy design workflow. My objectives today are different than they were a few years ago. Rather than relying heavily on post-mill modifications, I now aim to achieve approximately 95% of the final shape and form directly within the design software. That includes the primary anatomy, secondary anatomy, contours, embrasures, and overall morphology.
The goal is simple: when the restoration comes out of the mill, I want the remaining work to focus primarily on surface texture and characterization. From there, I can apply the new self-leveling liquid ceramic glazes that I've been working with, allowing the restoration to develop a natural and lifelike appearance without extensive adjustments.
I also spend some time talking about content creation itself. Creating educational content is much more artistic than many people realize. For me, it isn't something that can always be forced. I have to be in the right mindset and inspired by the process.
One of the things that helps me tremendously is spending time here in my home studio, surrounded by nature on our organic farm. The quietness, the open space, and the connection to the natural world provide an environment where creativity can flourish. It's here that I can step away from the distractions of daily practice and focus on developing ideas, refining workflows, and creating content that I hope will be valuable to others
.
These moments of reflection and creativity are becoming an increasingly important part of my professional journey, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share that process with all of you.
